Driving Regulations

• Driving is on the right.
• Kilometer (Km/h) is distance unit used for speed in the province
• Maximum speed limit is 40 Km/h in the city.
• Maximum speed limit is 80 Km/h on highways and major roads.
• Drivers should always use seat belt all the time.
• International travelers may drive with their foreign driver's license for a period of 90 days only.

Transit in Santiago is not well organized allowing drivers to a defensive drive. It is recommended to drive carefully in special on the city area.
