Santiago has both public and private transportations. The mass transportation is divided by the following:

PUBLIC

• CONCHO : Public cars transportation. It has different routes that cover the urban and suburban area of the city. Santiago is the first and only city in the country of having routes marked by alphabetical orders. 
• Public Cars Routes

Fare : RD 15.00$ or more.

• BUSES: Some organizations such as OMSA that offers public buses services in metro and out town area.

Fare : RD 5.00$ or more Regular OMSA buses. RD 10.00$ or more Executive OMSA Buses. Other buses companies has its own fares depending of the route and the destination.

• MOTOR CONCHO: Public motorist that serves any area on Santiago area. It only carries one passenger but there are certain moments which there are up to 3 passengers over a motor vehicle. It is no recommended for everyone because it is more dangerous and vulnerable at traffic accidents. Commonly used on places far away of the city where there are not concho or Buses.

Fare: Depending the destination and the length to go there.

PRIVATE

There are many private companies that offers public transportations inside and outside the area of Santiago. Most of them operate connections from / to Santiago  from / to other towns and places. Some companies operates on cars such as the private taxis and others offer transportation on buses. Below are a list of some of the known companies that offers transportation in the city of Santiago.
