TIPS TO DO WHEN BOARDING A PUBLIC CAR

Always carry exact change. Drivers does not accept a large denomination of money (50,100,500 and up) just to pay a fare for one person. If you don't have change, let the driver know on time long before your destination Stop.
There are not specific stop for the public cars, so make sure to advice your next stop about a block before the destination.
It is not recommended to board piracy public cars. Always board a car with a official label of the route that is usually on both door (Driver and front passenger).
The car has a capacity of 4 passengers depending of the type of car.
This is a public and cheap transportation. It means that everybody uses it. If you don't feel good to seat with other people. Use a private taxi service that are more expensive but more comfortable.
If board the car on the back seat, always exit on the right door when make the stop.
Pay to the driver, anytime ,when boarding, when prepare to get off the car or during the ride.
The fare is per person. Children and elderly person may pay half or full fare. If you board the car with another person, mention it to the driver when paying the fare.
The drivers are not responsible for lost personal belongings. It is up to the passenger to secure his/her items.
The Public cars have its routes, so make sure to know where to go and the route before board it.
In certain routes, the public cars may choose a shortcut or follow the route straight. The Driver will advice if any passenger will have a stop on the way before entering to the shortcut route.

EXAMPLE :

ROUTE A

One of the shortcuts of this route is when it arrives to the corner of 27TH February Avenue and Imbert Avenue (Entering Gurabito), the original route is to enter to Imbert Avenue (turning Left) to go into Gurabito Commercial area, pass the Cibao Stadium and The Sport Palace Complex to turn left onto 27th February Avenue at the second corner with it and Imbert Avenue (Existing from Gurabito). The Driver may choose the mentioned route or continue straight on the 27TH February Avenue. The driver asks if there someone to unboard within Gurabito area, if there is any, then the public car will use the first route, the same thing using the second route. It depends of the passengers and if there is a empty space on the car. If the car is full and nobody will get off at Gurabito, then the Public Car uses the shortcut to saves time and avoid traffic. Remmember, the shortcuts are used by the Public Cars just for the mentioned reason only. Make sure to wait for them on an avenue or street that are inside of the public Cars routes. Make sure to learn where to get them by checking the above list.
