On 1993 the commercial movement  of Santiago city began to experiments a brand new dynamism with the opening of several commercial plazas and center malls on different zones of the town. Some of them did not meet the public expectations provoking its closure but many of those center malls became successful and increased the economical activities of this growing province. Today, there are more malls and plazas located on different sectors of the city.
