ECONOMY

The province of Santiago has a diversity of economy sources. On the town of Santiago exists industry, commercials and services zones together with the agriculture activities. The agriculture is mainly provided by the towns of Villa Bisono, Villa Gonzalez, San Jose de La Matas, Janico and Licey al Medio. Those towns  have mixed economies with important presence of agriculture, but with agro industries and commerce.

The province has banks that manage the money market, and the newly open Cibao International Airport that opens the door to the exportation to the foreign countries.
